The Elements of Mutual Aid

Two Weeks and 28% left

Hello friends! We are just two weeks away from the end of our fundraiser! Thanks to all of your support, we’ve raised over 70% of our goal and have just under $6,000 left to raise. And we only need $1,500 to reach the required 80% of our goal that allows us to secure all our pledges.

We’re excited to announce a new incentive. If we reach our $20,000 goal, we’ll be printing stickers and sending them to everyone that made a contribution!

If you haven’t already, take a moment to help us reach our goal by donating and/or sharing the fundraiser with others.

Some other exciting developments:

  • We’ve received two new In Association partnerships: PM Press and Solidarity Research Center. We’re really honored to have received the backing of these amazing organizations! There’s also at least four more partnerships in the works that we’re finalizing this week.
  • A third podcast interview, this one with Belly of the Beast Media, was released. We really love this conversation and encourage you to take a listen.

Help us reach more people!

Can you share this project with a few more people in your life? Are you connected to any email lists or social media accounts that you could share an announcement about our project with? Get in touch with us if you need help drafting anything.

The more people who know about this project and who can share it with their friends, the more people can share the cost of getting this series made and into your hands.

This series is meant to be a tool for growing our ecosystem of mutual aid efforts. We’re going to make it freely accessible in English and Spanish upon release. We want to see it shared and used for discussion in communities, popular education spaces, and high schools far and wide.

We need more visual media that shares the current conversations and tactics around mutual aid work. This series will help mature our collective understanding of mutual aid as a value and practice. It shares practical knowledge from organizers who are at the frontlines of caring for their communities.

There’s so much deeply traumatic, saddening, and discouraging news out there right now. But the interviews we have to share are a direct counter to the attacks on trans people, bodily autonomy, black life, houseless communities, migrants, disaster-prone communities, and disabled people. We counter the violence and hate with steadfast commitment to our values, to each other, to learning together, and to liberated life.

Help us bring our interviewees’ light and insight to your community! Thank you for your continued support and encouragement on this project.
